Western Ky. man facing nearly 70 child porn charges now accused of raping, sodomizing two juveniles

A western Kentucky man already facing nearly 70 child pornography counts has now been accused of raping and sodomizing two juveniles.

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 31-year-old Damien K. Belt, of Clay (Webster Co.), earlier this month and charged him with 33 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance (victim under 12), 33 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance (victim under 12) and two counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began its investigation after discovering Belt sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, police said.

On Sunday, Kentucky State Police said further investigation into Belt revealed two juvenile victims were raped and sodomized by Belt “multiple” times.

“These incidents have supposedly been occurring for over a year,” state police stated. “During a search of Belt’s electronic devices, digital evidence was recovered supporting” the juveniles’ claims.

Belt was additionally charged with three counts of second-degree rape, three counts of second-degree sodomy, three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act, victim under 16) and three counts of use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance.

He faces up to 120 years in prison if convicted of all charges.

Belt is being held in the Webster County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
