Larry W. Butler, age 76 of Harned, KY passed away March 6, 2023 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born in Louisville, KY on September 12, 1946, son of the late Pauline
Wilson and Paul Hoffman Butler. Larry was a member of Harned United Methodist Church. He retired from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services as a social worker and was the owner and operator with his wife of Larry Butler Realty and Auction. Larry had many interests that include fishing, watching westerns, listening to music, playing the banjo, and farming. As a teenager and young adult, he along with his family provided entertainment during rodeos by driving a horse-drawn stagecoach. Larry performed with a bullwhip, lasso, and riding a horse while standing. Several years ago, he owned and operated an outdoor skating rink in Breckinridge and Grayson County. He loved his family and spent many hours watching his grandson Brody play baseball. He was a very proud Papaw.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sisters Donnie Ann and Paula Sue. Larry is survived by his wife Nancy Scott Butler of Harned, KY.

Funeral services will be held at Harned United Methodist Church on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in the Harned Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday after 8 AM. All times are central.
