Freddie Wayne Brown, age 81, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Monday, (March 6, 2023) in Louisville, KY. He was born on November 17, 1941 in Breckinridge Co, KY, the son of the late Bill and Bennie Armes Brown.

He was a farmer and a retired school bus driver for the Grayson County School System, who enjoyed riding horses, rabbit hunting and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He was a member and a Deacon of the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fayetta Haycraft Brown; one son, Brad Brown (Tricia) of Clarkson, KY; two daughters, Melissa Jefferies of Georgetown, KY and Greta Stamper of Bowling Green, KY; seven grandchildren, Joey Brown, Alisha Murray, Austin, Carlie, and Chelsea Jefferies, Riley and Tristan Stamper, five great-grandchildren, Clara, Cyrus, Soloman, Ellen, and J.D.; one brother, Paulie Brown (Barbara) of McDaniel, KY.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 Monday, March 13, at Sulfur Wells Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkson, KY. Bro. Austin Wade will be officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services at Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church.
