A Meade County man has been jailed after police found he was in possession of nearly two dozen sexually explicit photos of young girls.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office said that on Monday deputies executed a search warrant on electronic devices owned by 38-year-old Nicholas K. Dittmer, of Brandenburg.
“Discovered during the execution of this search warrant were pornographic images of juvenile females believed to be under the age of 12-years-old,” the sheriff’s office said.
Police then obtained a search warrant for Dittmer’s residence in the 2300 block of New Highland Church Road. During the search, additional electronic devices were obtained, and additional searches will be conducted, according to police.
Dittmer was arrested and charged with 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim younger than 12). He was lodged in the Meade County Detention Center.
