Four people have been charged in connection to a stabbing death in Bath County.
Kentucky State Police late Saturday morning responded to 377 East High Street in Owingsville after 41-year-old Christopher Bussell, of Owingsville, was discovered stabbed to death in a yard. Bussell had been stabbed multiple times, according to state police. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bath County Coroner’s Office.
On Monday, the investigation, which included tips from the public, led detectives to arrest four people in connection to the crime: Shannon McCarty, 20, of Owingsville, was charged with murder and harboring a fugitive; Priscilla Hunt, 42, of Sharpsburg, and Joslyn L. Brooks, 18, of Stanton, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and harboring a fugitive; and Krystal G. Hardin, 40, of Sharpsburg, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
State police said additional charges could be forthcoming.
No motive for the killing has yet been established, according to state police.
McCarty, Hunt, Brooks are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on $1 million bonds. Hardin is lodged in the Montgomery County Regional Jail. No bond amount is listed on her jail profile.
