Leitchfield man with lengthy arrest history jailed in Michigan after being caught breaking into home

A Leitchfield man with a lengthy arrest history has been jailed in Michigan on weapons and illegal entry charges.

Alexander Geary, 36, was arrested Saturday morning, according to WOODTV.com, after being accused of breaking into a home in Holland, Michigan, in southwestern Michigan about 30 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.

He was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed weapon and illegal entry. More charges are possible, WOODTV.com reports.

Geary was inside a home in Park Township when Ottawa County deputies arrived at approximately 10:00 Saturday morning after receiving a report of a break-in.

Police recovered multiple stolen items during the investigation, including firearms, collectible coins and tools. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said the stolen items are worth “tens of thousands of dollars.”

He is lodged in the Ottawa County Jail.

Geary, according to online records, has been arrested numerous times in multiple counties over the last eight years on a variety of charges, including DUI, reckless driving, second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, theft of a legend drug, theft of a controlled substance, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
