A man wanted in connection to the theft of credit cards from Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center has been arrested.

“Effective collaboration between multiple agencies in Kentucky and Indiana led to multiple arrest warrants from several Kentucky counties” for 60-year-old William C. Moore, of Cleveland, Tennessee, according to Leitchfield Police Department Det. Sgt. Ian Renfrow.

Moore was arrested in McCreary County pursuant to warrants from Whitley County, and again arrested for similar offenses in Barren County.

During an interview with LPD, Moore confessed to the crimes committed in Leitchfield, Renfrow said.

“Moore is believed to have entered multiple hospitals across the state of Kentucky and Southern Indiana,” Renfrow stated, “each time obtaining credit cards and/or checks and fraudulently obtaining cash or gift cards with the stolen items.”

K105 previously reported that the Perry County (IN) Sheriff’s Office was attempting to identify Moore after he was accused of stealing bank cards and checks from a hospital in Tell City, Indiana, only days after committing the same offenses in Leitchfield.

“(He) is believed to have stolen multiple bank cards and checks from subjects at Perry County Memorial Hospital” in Tell City, Indiana, law enforcement said at the time.

Renfrow said technology and information sharing among law enforcement led to the identification of Moore and the location of evidence connecting him to each of each of the theft locations.

Moore is currently being held in the Barren County Detention Center. Charges are pending in Grayson County for burglary, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
