An emergency protective order (EPO) violation investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Leitchfield man on multiple drug charges.

Wednesday morning at approximately 5:00, Leitchfield Police Department Sgt. DJ Newton and Officers Taylor Wright and Ty Whitaker were dispatched to a residence on Shauna Drive regarding an EPO violation.

Upon arriving at the scene, the victim told police that 27-year-old Dustin Davis, who left the home prior to police arriving, attempted to force his way into the residence, according to the arrest citation, before adding that an EPO had been taken out on Davis.

During a search of the area, police located a loaded rifle and shotgun in the garage. The victim told police that “there should also be a .410 shotgun” in the garage but it was not found.

Police then developed information indicating Davis could be at Bear Creek Apartments on Thomas Drive in Leitchfield.

Officers arrived at the apartment complex and made contact with Davis where police observed a baggie next to the chair Davis was sitting in.

In the baggie officers found Oxycodone, Xanax and Ambien.

Davis was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and having a prescription controlled substance not in its proper container. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
