At least three tornadoes touched down in Kentucky Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), an EF-1 tornado with winds up to 100 miles per hour struck Mercer County near Harrodsburg. Approximately 5,000 customers were left without power for several hours.
The tornado damaged multiple homes, some extensively.
Another EF-1 twister struck near Danville in Boyle County. Wind speeds reached at least 90 mph, according to the NWS.
A third confirmed tornado, with maximum wind speeds of 110 mph struck Henry County.
The NWS Survey Team will conduct a survey on Friday in Madison County to determine if damage in that area was caused by a tornado.
