A teacher in Logan County has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.

Kentucky State Police arrested 26-year-old Benjamin A. Adams, of Bowling Green, and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sodomy. Adams is a teacher at Logan County High School.

The investigation began when Kentucky State Police was made aware of allegations that Adams was having “an inappropriate relationship with a student.”

The Bowling Green Daily News reports that Adams and an underage student had a sexual encounter on school property after school hours on December 12, 2022.

Adams was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
