An elderly Breckinridge County woman has died in a two-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer.
Kentucky State Police said troopers were dispatched to the crash Wednesday evening at approximately 6:00 at the intersection of Hwy 60 and Hwy 144, a few miles east of Cloverport.
The preliminary investigation, state police said, revealed that 91-year-old Marian Novak, of Cloverport, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt west on Hwy 60 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Hwy 144 and pulled into the path of an eastbound 2005 Peterbilt semi truck, being driven by 37-year-old Freddy Brown, of London.
Novak was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where she passed away Thursday afternoon.
Brown was not injured.
