A Leitchfield woman wanted for absconding from parole in addition to four arrest warrants out of Jefferson County has been arrested by the Leitchfield Police Department.
Friday morning at approximately 12:15, Leitchfield Police Officer DJ Newton arrived at FiveStar Food Mart, at 308 South Main Street, on an unrelated investigation and observed a woman he knew had multiple warrants for her arrest, 61-year-old Cynthia Sue Kutz.
Upon Newton making contact with Kutz, LPD Sgt. Keith Harrell arrived on scene.
Kutz, who absconded from parole after being granted shock probation on five felony convictions, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, was taken into custody. During a search of the suspect, police located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on bonds totaling $73,000.
Kutz was convicted in Jefferson County in September 2019 for complicity to commit third-degree burglary, complicity to receiving stolen property (more than $500, less than $10,000), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, and first-degree promoting contraband.
She was granted shock probation after serving approximately six months in prison and is on probation until March 16, 2025, according to the KDC.
