A female juvenile has been hospitalized and three other minors taken to the ER after a truck crashed on Anneta Road (Hwy 259).

Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:30, Grayson County Deputy Wally Ritter, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the single-vehicle crash in the 3600 block of Anneta Road.

Based on marks at the scene, the Ford F-150 truck, being driven south by a female from Munfordville, left the roadway and struck an embankment, flipping the truck onto its side.

Leitchfield fire personnel stabilized the vehicle prior to cutting the truck’s roof off and extricating the female driver using the Jaws of Life and saws all equipment. Including stabilizing the truck, it took firefighters about 25 minutes to safely remove the juvenile from the Ford.

She was transported to Baptist Health Hardin by EMS. The other three juveniles were transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center as a precaution.

The juveniles had just left Hope Christian Academy when the crash occurred.
