Woman injured in collision on South Main St. in Leitchfield

A woman has been injured in a major collision on South Main Street in Leitchfield.

Tuesday evening at approximately 5:00, Leitchfield Police Officers Bart Glenn, Missy Skaggs and Bryan Jennings, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the crash in the 700 block of South Main Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found that a Toyota Corolla was exiting the Little Caesar’s parking lot when it pulled into the path of a southbound Ford F-150 truck. The Ford came to rest in the exit lanes of McDonald’s, approximately 150 feet from the collision site.

LFD personnel extricated the female driver of the Corolla using the Jaws of Life. She was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford was uninjured.

The names of the two women involved were not available.
