Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown is hosting its annual Cram the Cruiser event this week.
KSP posts across the state are collecting non-perishable food items for families in need. Posts 4 troopers will accept donations at the Kroger store at 3040 Dolphin Drive in Elizabethtown on Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. eastern time.
Troopers welcome products such as canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, cake mixes, water, and powdered milk.
The collected food will be distributed to food banks, shelters, churches and other groups in the eight county Post 4 coverage area.
