A Grayson County man wanted for absconding from parole after being convicted in Grayson County on drug and fleeing charges has been arrested in Ohio County.
On Sunday, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office and Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of North Main Street in Beaver Dam, and made contact with 25-year-old Jonathan Frank, of Grayson County, and 36-year-old Cody Pendley, of Morgantown.
During a search of vehicle, Ohio County authorities located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
Frank absconded from parole after being convicted in Grayson County in July 2021 for fleeing or evading police (on foot) and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) following his arrest in January 2020.
The pursuit wound through Clarkson, Big Clifty, and Hardin County before ending in Hart County when Kentucky State Police Trooper Jakob Clemons performed a PIT maneuver.
Nearly a dozen law enforcement officers participated in the chase. Frank was charged with 28 counts in three counties as a result of the pursuit.
Pendley has an indictment warrant out of Butler County for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and persistent felony offender. He also has two failure to appear warrants in Butler and Ohio counties.
Frank was initially lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but has since been transferred to the Grayson County Detention Center. Pendley is lodged in the Butler County Jail.
