
A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash with a Grayson County school bus.
Friday afternoon at approximately 3:35, Leitchfield Police Department Sgt. Robert Jackson and Officer Brian Jennings, the Leitchfield Fire Department, EMS, and Grayson County Schools officials responded to the accident at the intersection of Brandenburg Road and Lilac Road.
The investigation showed that a Grayson County Schools bus was traveling north on Brandenburg Road when the bus driver turned into the path of a southbound motorcycle, also traveling on Brandenburg Road, as the school bus turned left onto Lilac Road.
The male rider of the motorcycle, whose identity was not available, was transported by EMS to Baptist Health Hardin with serious injuries. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
Over a dozen students were on the bus at the time of the crash. None suffered injuries.
Some students were picked up by parents/guardians at the scene while others were loaded onto another bus and transported home.
