Caneyville man with felony record arrested in Ohio Co. on theft charges

A Caneyville man with a felony record has been arrested in Ohio County on theft charges.

Steven W. Embry, 25, was arrested Sunday night and charged with receiving stolen property (over $1,000, less than $10,000) and possession of burglary tools. He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.

Embry was arrested in April 2022 on multiple felony charges after Edmonson County deputies received a tip on drug trafficking which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a Chalybeate School Road residence.

During a search of the property, deputies located methamphetamine, firearms, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

In that case, Embry was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, persistent felony offender, trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
