A technology firm has announced plans to build an electric battery support manufacturing facility in Hardin County.
South Korea-based Advance Nano Products (ANP) will spend $49.6 million to construct a 50,000-square-foot facility on nearly 23 acres on North Black Branch Road in Elizabethtown, Gov. Andy Beshear announced.
The facility will produce carbon battery nano materials used in electric vehicles. The site will employ 93 people and pay an average of $40 per hour including benefits.
Advanced Nano Products is a subsidiary of ANP USA.
In September of last year, Ford and SK Innovations announced a $5.8 billion investment to build BlueOValSKBattery Park on 1,551 acres in Glendale. The twin facilities will make batteries for Ford and Lincoln electric vehicles.
The investment will bring approximately 5,000 jobs to the area.
