The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a theft suspect.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, his office is working the “theft of a teal go-kart from an address in Hartford” sometime during the early morning hours of Wednesday.

The suspect is a white male, believed to be in his 50s. Beatty said the man is tall and has a medium build. He has short gray hair and was driving a white truck pulling an empty car trailer.

The suspect, who visited the property prior to the theft, told the owner of the go-kart that he was a “scrapper’ and asked to take an old appliance off the property.

“It is believed that the suspect came back and took the go-kart along with some other items,” Beatty stated.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the theft suspect is asked to contact the Ohio Co. Sheriff’s Office at 270-298-4444.
