A Hardin County man has been accused of brutally attacking someone during a domestic disturbance.
The Elizabethtown Police Department arrested 35-year-old Mikel J. Lyden, of Fort Knox, Saturday afternoon and charged him with first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree terroristic threatening.
Lyden is accused of striking the victim in the face, slamming the victim’s head against a table and kicking the person in the stomach several times, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. He also allegedly placed a pillow over the victim’s face in an attempt to suffocate the person, while threatening to kill the victim.
Lyden was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center but has since been released on a $10,000 partially secured bond.
