David Howard Williams, age 90, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Grayson Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on February 26, 1932, in the Horntown community, the son of Jess T. and Bessie Williams.
He is survived by two sons, David Williams of Leitchfield, Roger Williams of Clarkson; one daughter, Melissa Williams Buseck (Mark) of Erie, PA; three grandchildren, Lucas Buseck (Gabi Omatick) of Chicago, IL, Ashley Buseck of New York, NY and Brian Buseck of New York, NY; one brother, Royce of Boise, ID and one sister, Loretta Probus of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Billie Jean Musick Williams; his parents; one sister, Aline Nichols; five brothers, Olen, Jesse, Damon, Loran and Edward and a daughter-in-law, Melissa Penry Williams.
Howard was a veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1952-1954. He was a Christian and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. He was a 1951 graduate of Clarkson High School. He worked 45 years at the Bank of Clarkson, retiring as the President and CEO and Chairman of the Board. He held every position at the bank during his tenure there. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Grayson Manor Nursing Home for nearly 30 years; a member of the board of the Grayson County Industrial Foundation; a member of the Clarkson City Council and the Clarkson Cemetery board. He was an original member of the Clarkson Lions Club and the Clarkson Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, July 8, 2022, at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Rev. Chessie Shartzer and Lucas Buseck officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarkson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Thursday and after 9 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
