Two Grayson County men, one frequently on the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted list, have been sentenced to prison.
Dakota B. Hudson, 26, was sentenced to five years in prison in Circuit Court Judge Bruce T. Butler’s courtroom after pleading guilty to second-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), according to court documents. The burglary charge was enhanced by a second-degree persistent felony offender count.
A third-degree attempted escape charge was dismissed.
Hudson, who committed the crimes in August 2021, was sentenced to five years on the third-degree burglary charge and 12 months each on the two fourth-degree assault charges. The sentences will run concurrently.
Also recently sentenced was 23-year-old John Z. Whitehead.
Whitehead has been on multiple Most Wanted lists over the last several months, as he was wanted for third-degree burglary. He was captured in May 2022 by the Leitchfield Police Department when officers arrived at a residence on the report of a domestic dispute.
He was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Harold Goff II to four years in prison after pleading guilty to the charge, according to court documents.
The crime took place in April 2018.
