For the second time in less than a week a Breckinridge County man has perished in a car accident.
On Thursday afternoon, the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office responded to the single-car accident in the 5000 block of Hwy 60, according to a report by WXBC.com.
Upon arriving, police found that an eastbound 2018 Ford Taurus, being driven by 38-year-old Joshua Blake, of Irvington, left the roadway, with Blake overcorrecting the vehicle causing the Ford to cross both lanes of traffic before hitting a tree head-on.
Blake was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.
On June 17, 73-year-old Joseph E. Miller, of Hardinsburg, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital after a single-vehicle accident on Hwy 259 north about a mile from Hardinsburg. His vehicle, a Chevrolet truck, also left the roadway and struck a tree.
He later died at University of Louisville Hospital.
