Kentucky State Police is investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Breathitt County.
The shooting occurred Friday afternoon on Hwy 378 in the Vancleve community, about seven miles north of Jackson. The suspect, state police said, was shot twice and airlifted to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
The deputy involved suffered minor injuries. He was treated at a local hospital and released.
No details surrounding the shooting have yet been released.
The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating.
