The Grayson County High School track and field team will send its 4x800m relay group to the KHSAA state championship.

The team of Houston Brooks, Jackson Crume, Kaylor Decker, and Peyton Nash found out Friday morning that their time at last week’s regional tournament was enough to qualify for state.

In addition, Luke Cann, Sebastian Fulkerson, Shane Hall, and Tyler Portman were all announced as alternates for the competition. They will enter if other entries drop out.

Grayson County medaled in 14 events during last week’s regional meet.

The Cougars will race in the Class 3A competition at the University of Kentucky on June 4. Specifically, their race will start around 9:25 am ET.
