The Louisville man accused of killing his wife and shooting his young son has been arrested in Indiana.

Police were looking for Ronald Burdette, who authorities said shot his wife, 49-year-old Cindy Burdette, and 12-year-old son Sunday morning a few minutes before 5:00 at a home in the 2100 block of Appleton Lane, near Dixie Highway in Shively.

Cindy Burdette was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. The 12-year-old boy was transported to a Louisville hospital and was in stable condition, media outlets report.

Ronald Burdette was arrested without incident early Monday morning in Jeffersonville, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville. He was booked into the Clark County (IN) Detention Center where he awaits extradition to Jefferson County where he faces multiple charges, including murder.

Shively police on Sunday said that “Burdette is solely responsible” for the shootings.
