Police in Bowling Green are working to identify a fatal shooting suspect.
The Bowling Green Police Department responded to shots fired Sunday afternoon at approximately 5:40 at 19 East 13th Avenue, several hundred feet northwest of the WKU campus.
BGPD spokesman Ronnie Ward told the Bowling Green Daily News that the victim was identified as 44-year-old Willie J. Bays, of Bowling Green.
Bays, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was found inside a building next to railroad tracks near Adams Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police do not have a suspect but detectives are working to develop leads.
