The Grayson County Cougar bass fishing team has won the Region 1 Bass Fishing championship.
The tournament was held on Saturday on Lake Barkley in western Kentucky.
For the bass fishing team, it is their first-ever region championship and the first Grayson County team to claim a region since the Lady Cougar basketball team in 2017.
The Cougars had six teams hit the water on Lake Barkley with four of them finishing in the top 23 of 108 total boats.
Grayson County will now advance to the KHSAA state championship that will be held May 13-14 on Kentucky Lake.
