Police in Elizabethtown are investigating the theft of a “substantial” amount of jewelry from Kay Jewelers.
Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Chris Denham told The News-Enterprise that officers were dispatched to the store at approximately 5:00 Tuesday morning when an alarm sounded at the business at 1570 North Dixie Hwy, Suite 102.
“Those involved were able to get in through a back door and stole a substantial amount of inventory” prior to police arriving, Denham told the newspaper.
There is surveillance video of the theft.
