Edmonson County deputies executed a major drug bust after responding to a trespassing complaint in Chalybeate.

The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office said that late Tuesday night deputies were dispatched to Parker Way on a trespassing complaint against 52-year-old Eric T. Lyvers, of Chalybeate. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found several people at the residence, and witnessed 48-year-old Edward J.A. Durbin, of Roundhill, “cutting a hole through a window screen in an attempt to exit the rear of the residence,” police said.

Durbin was detained as deputies investigated whether Lyvers was allowed to be on the property.

During the course of the investigation, police observed oxycodone pills in plain view. During a subsequent search of the residence, deputies found “multiple quantities” of methamphetamine, scales, baggies, and other drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.

Police also discovered three of the people present, 49-year-old Alison L. Evans, of Robertsdale, Alabama, 42-year-old William B. Evans, of Bowling Green, and 20-year-old Zachary O. Johnson, of Bowling Green, had warrants for their arrest — Alison L. Evans had two warrants out of Daviess County, William B. Evans had a warrant out of Daviess County as well, and Johnson had a warrant out of Barren County, according to police.

All of the suspects at the home with the exception of Durbin were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, drug unspecified) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Durbin was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

All the suspects were lodged in the Hart County Jail. Alison L. Evans and Edward J.A. Durbin are no longer listed as inmates.
