A Bullitt County woman has been charged with murder.
The Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Megan L. Ziegler, of Brooks, on Monday after she allegedly shot a woman in the head Friday night at a residence in the 600 block of Lake Elmo Road, about seven miles northeast of Shepherdsville.
The woman, who was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, later died.
Police have not released the circumstances that led to the shooting.
Ziegler has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center.
