A months-long investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force resulted in the largest seizure of methamphetamine in Grayson County history, according to a court document.

As reported by K105, Jason Hall, 44, was recently arrested at his Caneyville residence where task force members, the Leitchfield Police Department and Kentucky State Police located three-and-a-half pounds of methamphetamine, with a street value of about $15,000.

A motion by County Attorney Jeremy Logsdon to increase Hall’s bond amount from $50,000 to $1 million cash states the seizure is “the largest amount of methamphetamine seized at a single location in this county’s history.”

In addition, the court document states that police seized “over $20,000 in cash and numerous suspected stolen items,” and as previously reported by K105, 10 pounds of marijuana, two firearms and various other weapons.

The presence of firearms at the residence enhances the drug charges and will potentially add decades onto Hall’s prison sentence if he’s found guilty of all charges, the court document states.

Hall, who was out of jail on a $2,500 bond at the time of his arrest, was previously arrested in November 2021 after task force members seized a half-pound of methamphetamine, “over 40 guns” and “approximately $10,000 in cash.”

In the request to raise Hall’s bond, the court document says, “Based on the huge amount of methamphetamine discovered, (Hall) is without a doubt the biggest dealer of methamphetamine in Grayson County’s history. The danger he presents to the community is extraordinary and his bond should be increased to adequately address this fact, especially in light that he was on bond for the exact same thing.”

The official request for the increase in bond also states that with Hall facing decades in prison, “This alone indicates that he should be considered a flight risk,” requiring his bond be raised.

In his latest arrest, Hall was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and marijuana, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The bond increase request will be heard by District Court Judge Steve Crebessa on Wednesday.
