A Campbellsville man has been jailed after assaulting an EMT in Hardin County.

The Elizabethtown Police Department arrested 34-year-old Michael J. Aumiller early Sunday morning after he was found at an Elizabethtown convenience store heavily intoxicated and with injuries to his face, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

He was transported by EMS to Baptist Health Hardin where he spit on EMT personnel. He was placed into a spit hood, which he attempted to remove. He then is accused of striking an EMT in front of an Elizabethtown officer.

He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of an EMT, a felony, and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. He’s being held on a $2,500 cash bond.
