The missing Bowling Green teenager whose family was killed in a tornado has been found.

Nyssa Brown, 13, went missing after a tornado struck her Moss Creek Avenue home early Saturday morning. She was found deceased on Thursday about three blocks from her where her home stood. She had been tossed into a dense briar thicket on the edge of field, according to Bowling Green Police Department spokesman Ronnie Ward.

Her body was found by one of the many volunteers searching for Brown. Her parents, three siblings and grandmother were all killed by the twister.

Twelve of the 17 people killed in Bowling Green lived on Moss Creek Avenue.

Her death raises the state’s tornado-related death toll to 76.

There are now 16 people unaccounted for in western Kentucky. Down from the over 120 missing persons only a few days ago.
