An Edmonson County man with a lengthy arrest history, and who was wanted for shooting his brother in September, has been arrested.

Kentucky State Police said troopers made contact Sunday at about noon with 26-year-old Cody Dylan Brady, of Rocky Hill (and who has ties to Grayson Co.), at 1171 Rocky Hill Road, about four miles northeast of Smiths Grove in Edmonson County. Brady was wanted for allegedly shooting his brother, 28-year-old Brett Brady, at the same residence on the morning of September 22 during an altercation.

State police said Cody Brady was arrested after a short standoff.

Cody Brady, who has been arrested at least 23 times since 2013 on a variety of charges, was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail where he was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and theft by unlawful taking (auto, $10,000 or more).

In early August of last year, he was arrested on a laundry list of charges after leading police on a three-county high-speed pursuit when troopers observed a blue Toyota passenger car fail to stop at a stop sign on Old Bardstown Road in Barren County.

Trooper Jordan Matthews activated his emergency equipment, police said in a press release, but the vehicle failed to pull over and fled.

Based on the vehicle registration plate, it was determined the owner of the car was Cody Brady, who had arrest warrants.

The vehicle continued fleeing on multiple roadways in Barren, Edmonson, and Warren counties. Troopers used a tire deflation device to bring the chase to an end on Louisville Road in Warren County.

In that case, he was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), fleeing or evading police, DUI, menacing, tampering with physical evidence, criminal mischief, reckless driving, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding (26 mph or more over the limit), along with several non-moving violations.
