Beginning Thursday and running until Saturday, the Leitchfield Transfer Station will offer free tire disposal to residents of Grayson County.
Tires may be dropped off at the transfer station, at 315 West Lake Drive, on Thursday and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, tires may be dropped off between 8:00 a.m. and noon.
According to officials, tires not accepted include, “large OTR, tracks, sheet rubber, solid, calcium or otherwise filled, or any tire with a bead greater than one-and-three-quarters inches, semi-truck tires.”
Tires accepted at the transfer station are passenger car tires and truck tires.
Officials ask that residents drop off tires at the transfer station at the designated times only.
