A Leitchfield man has been killed in a Breckinridge County three-vehicle accident on Hwy 259.
Kentucky State Police said that on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 5:45, troopers responded to the three-vehicle wreck in the 3500 block of Hwy 259 south, near Harned.
Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that 57-year-old Anthony Coogle, of Leitchfield, was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus when he turned onto the roadway and into the path of an eastbound 2013 Ford Escape, being driven by 62-year-old James Miller, of Hardinsburg.
After the two vehicles collided, Coogle’s Taurus struck a 2006 Ford F-350 truck, being driven by 39-year-old Adam Moore, of Hardinsburg.
Coogle was transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by EMS where he was later pronounced deceased by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.
Miller was also transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital as a precaution. Moore was not injured.
