Police are looking for an Edmonson County shooting suspect with a long arrest history.
Wednesday morning at approximately 10:30, Kentucky State Police responded to the shooting at the residence at 1171 Rocky Hill Road, about four miles northeast of Smiths Grove.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to an unknown hospital.
KSP Post 3 Public Affairs Officer Daniel Priddy told news outlets the investigation showed that Cody Dylan Brady, 26, of Rocky Hill, shot his brother.
Brady is six feet tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has dark brown hair.
Police have found the silver Toyota 4-Runner Brady was driving but the suspect continues to elude police.
Brady has a lengthy history of arrests and should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
Anyone with information on Brady’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kentucky State Police at 270-782-2010 or your local law enforcement.
In early August of last year, Brady was arrested on a laundry list of charges after leading police on a three-county high-speed pursuit when troopers observed a blue Toyota passenger car fail to stop at a stop sign on Old Bardstown Road in Barren County.
Trooper Jordan Matthews activated his emergency equipment, police said in a press release, but the vehicle failed to pull over and fled.
Based on the vehicle registration plate, it was determined the owner of the car was Brady, who had arrest warrants.
The vehicle continued fleeing on multiple roadways in Barren, Edmonson, and Warren counties. Troopers used a tire deflation device to bring the chase to an end on Louisville Road in Warren County.
Brady was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), fleeing or evading police, DUI, menacing, tampering with physical evidence, criminal mischief, reckless driving, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding (26 mph or more over the limit), along with several non-moving violations.
A passenger, 26-year-old Brittany Decker, of Park City, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), resisting arrest, menacing, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with active warrants.
Brady has been arrested at least 23 times since 2013 on a variety of charges.
