Hardin Co. woman accused of shooting ex-husband after hitting him with baseball bat as he slept

A Hardin County woman has been accused of shooting her ex-husband after striking him with a baseball bat.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Amanda Gail Carman, of Radcliff, on Monday night after she entered the residence her and her former husband formerly shared during the middle of the night and struck him with a baseball bat as he slept, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

The victim then went outside and onto a carport where Carman shot him.

The victim was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder and a broken rib.

Carman was charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence), second-degree assault (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence.

She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
