The Grayson County Extension Office will host its first ever Fresh Market Day in coordination with the Grayson County Farmers’ Market.

The free event is scheduled for Saturday morning from 7:00 until noon at the GCEO’s new location at 64 Quarry Road in Leitchfield.

“We are so excited for you to see all the great products our Kentucky Proud Market vendors have for you this season, including locally grown and processed beef, farm eggs, fresh breads, fried pies, jams and jellies, micro greens, wood products and signs,” said Susan E. Martin, Extension Staff Assistant at the Grayson County Cooperative Extension Service. “As always, the top quality, locally grown vegetables and fruits will be available. In addition to our regular vendors, the Fresh Market Day will have free activities going on all morning.”

Activities slated for the morning include demonstrations, raffle give-a-ways, educational resources, kids’ activities (garden art painting and coloring), recipe cards, an observation beehive, and free snow cones.
