Less than a week after a recent Grayson County High School graduate was killed in a car crash in Hardin County, a Leitchfield man has died in an accident, also in Hardin County.

Jacob “Jake” Wisdom, 26, of Leitchfield, was killed Thursday morning at approximately 3:45 (central time) in a single-vehicle accident on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

Kentucky State Police responded to the wreck. Few details about the accident are currently known.

UPDATE 7:30 p.m. — Kentucky State Police said the accident occurred at the 120 mile marker of the westbound parkway, about a mile inside Hardin County. Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that Wisdom was traveling in a 2000 Toyota Camry when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle and entered into the median. The Camry then overturned several times, ejecting Wisdom from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.

Wisdom’s death comes after 20-year-old Dominic Hughes was killed Friday night in Hardin County.

Hughes graduated from GCHS in 2019. He was a musician in high school, earning All-District Orchestra honors in violin in November 2018.
