Two people have been shot in Breckinridge County.
Wednesday afternoon at approximately 12:40, two men who were performing yard care at The Home Place assisted living facility, at 105 Fairgrounds Road, began arguing when the two men shot each other, Breckinridge County Sheriff Billy Richardson told WXBC.com. Both men were shot in the chest, Hardinsburg police told the radio station.
They both went a short distance to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital to seek treatment, the sheriff said.
One person was airlifted to a Louisville hospital while the other was treated at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital and has given a statement to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office and Hardinsburg Police Department, who are investigating the double shooting.
The names of the men involved have not yet been released.
