Crews are searching for Dr. Robert Supinski, 66, an orthopaedic surgeon, was last seen riding a zero-turn lawn mower Wednesday afternoon at his home on Lake House Drive in the Slate Branch area of Lake Cumberland.

Police believe Supinski drove the mower through a fence and fell about 100 feet off a bluff into the lake. The mower was found in 20 feet of water.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office told the Commonwealth Journal that the search for Supinski has transitioned to a “recovery effort,” and includes divers, the Pulaski County Rescue Squad and Kentucky Fish & Wildlife.
