
The Grayson County Health Department (GCHD) has announced it is launching a 1C coronavirus waiting list.
“The health department will open the 1C wait list on Monday, March 1,” health department Director Josh Embry said.
With only a limited supply of the vaccine available, though, Embry at this time is restricting the waiting list to only a particular segment of the 1C population.
“At this time, we will only be adding residents ages 60 and older to the 1C wait list,” Embry said. “We will open the 1C wait list to other populations in 1C once more vaccine is made available.”
Embry added for residents for begin calling the health department to schedule a vaccine appointment until March 1.
In addition to residents 60 and over, people who work in the following industries are eligible under 1C guidelines, according to the Kentucky Department for Public Health: Transportation and logistics … Food service shelter and housing (construction) … Finance … IT and Communication … Energy … Media … Legal … Public safety (engineers) … Water and wastewater … Clergy.
The waiting list for those in the 1B category ends on Friday.
