An Anneta man has been arrested after admitting that he recorded an underage female multiple times while she was showering.
Last Friday, Kentucky State Police received a voyeurism complaint from Child Protective Services. The arrest citation says the “victim was interviewed … in which she stated that (a few days prior to the interview) she located (34-year-old John A Crabtree’s) phone recording her while she was taking a shower.”
Because the victim was “scared,” according to the citation, she deleted the video and returned the phone to Crabtree.
When KSP interviewed Crabtree about the incident, he “admitted … that he had recorded her and that it was premeditated and planned out to record her in the shower for his own gratification,” the citation states.
Crabtree additionally admitted to police that he recorded the girl “on approximately four other occasions since August for his own gratification …”
Crabtree was arrested and charged with five counts of video voyeurism, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison on each count, and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. Additional charges are possible.
He is no longer listed as an inmate.
