After reviewing a survey by parents/guardians of Grayson County Schools, the Grayson County Board of Education has approved the school calendar for the 2021-2022 school year.
In late November 2020, parents/guardians were provided with three calendar options by district officials, with the calendar below receiving the most votes.

August 2 and 3: Staff reports
August 4: First day for students
September 6: Labor Day, no school
October 1-8: Fall Break
November 22-26: Thanksgiving Break
November 24: Flex day for staff
December 20-31: Christmas Break
January 17: MLK, Jr. Day, no school
February 21: Presidents Day, no school
March 21: Flex day for staff
April 4-8: Spring Break
May 18: Last day for students
May 19: Closing day for staff
