Hardin Co. man stabs victim nearly two dozen times before stealing victim’s vehicle

A Hardin County man is facing attempted murder and robbery charges after he stabbed someone nearly two dozen times and stole the victim’s vehicle.

Tuesday night at about 7:00, De’Andre Jenkins, 23, of Radcliff, entered an occupied vehicle on Doris Way in Radcliff and stabbed the driver “approximately 20 times,” according to a report by The News Enterprise. The driver was stabbed in his face, neck and chest.

The victim exited the vehicle with Jenkins then driving away.

At approximately 11:15 Tuesday night, Jenkins was found in the vehicle behind North Hardin High School where he was arrested by Radcliff police.

As he was being lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center, the newspaper reports that Jenkins assaulted a staff member.

Jenkins was charged with attempted murder, first-degree robbery, theft by unlawful taking (motor vehicle), third-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief. He’s being held on a $250,000 cash bond.

No information is currently available on the victim’s condition.
