Two Clarkson residents have been arrested by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force after police found a large amount of methamphetamine while executing a search warrant near Clarkson Elementary School.
After an investigation, on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:30, the task force executed a search warrant at 215 East Main Street, located within about 500 feet of Clarkson Elementary School.
During a search of the property, police located approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales and syringes, according to the arrest citation.
Police arrested a convicted felon, 37-year-old Shawn D. Clark along with 37-year-old Tiffany M. Logsdon and charged each with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. Logsdon was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Both suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. Additional charges are expected to be filed, police said.
Clark was convicted in Grayson County in October 2015 for trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and theft by unlawful taking. He is on parole until 2023, according to Kentucky Department of Corrections.
