A Leitchfield teenager has been injured after suffering a medical emergency and crashing into a tree on Anneta Road.

Sunday night at approximately 8:55, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Zane Greer, Deputy Rick Mehlbauer, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to 4860 Anneta Road after a 16-year-old male suffered an apparent medical emergency as he traveled south in a Ford Ranger.

Based on marks at the scene, the Ford exited the rain-soaked roadway while coming out of a curve, got sideways in the wet grass and struck a tree on the passenger door, essentially wrapping the Ranger around the tree.

The victim, who was alert at the scene, was transported by EMS to Baptist Health Hardin hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
